Vegan MoFo Day 10:Peanut Butter Milkshake!
I really love milkshakes a lot. They're really delicious.Okay?I love peanut butter a lot, too. It's even more delicious. So when they go together it's one of the most delicious things ever. It's like something really sweet, creamy, rich, peanut buttery, cold, and refreshing all at once, and it takes no effort to eat,it's like you just sip a little and there's this huge sensation of deliciousness in yr mouth. That's why I love milkshakes.
Anyways,my first full day in Portland it was like 91 degrees. When I left Vancouver it was nice the past 2 days, but pretty cool, and before that it was raining and cold.I expected Portland to be similar.Wrong.So Kevin, the other Canadian staying at Isa's,and I went to Sip the vegan milkshake(okay, and healthy stuff like smoothies and juices)cart parked right outside of People's Food Co-op in SE Portland.
They had a lot of flavours that sounded really good(the day's special was mocha!) but I knew i'd be getting peanut butter.I'd be betraying my heart of hearts if I didn't.Kevin got chocolate peanut butter, which was on the menu, but I requested just peanut butter.Sure, chocolate and peanut butter is fabulous, but you just read me describing the milkshake sensation,I wanted full peanut butter potential.I needed it.My tastebuds live for it.Anyways,it was THE best milkshake I have ever had.Ever.Ever.Ever.It was made with Maranatha peanut butter, too. As you know, that's my favourite brand. And instead of the chocolate drizzle kevin got on his, mine came with a peanut butter drizzle. And it was huge.It was like it was never ending. That silver cup had enough milkshake to fill up my glass twice.Wow.After writing this I REALLY want a peanut butter milkshake.Mmmmm.It was really delicious, really peanut buttery, really creamy, really big,and really filling.Oh,and thick, like a milkshake should be.Thank you Sip,yr amazing.
We also talked to the guy who runs Sip for quite a bit,and he was really nice.As I mentioned in the banana split pudding brownies post, when I was at People's a couple days later I gave him a brownie and I have his fork.Milkshake season in over now,but Sip is adapting to the weather and will now be serving soups, hot chocolates, and other cold weather comfort beverages.Maybe one with peanut butter?I should make another trip down this winter.
