Vegan MoFo Day#25-Peanut Butter S'mores Sundaes!!!

sara,from Sweet and Sara gave me 6 peanut butter s'mores pies!

last week i didn't have any ice cream,but i did have a week of thinking of the perfect thing to do with the s'mores,which was of course to get s'mores sundaes at lula's sweet apothecary.3 times in one weekend.

s'mores sundae day #1:

theresa's and my(pictured at the beginning of post) sundaes was peanut butter fudge ice cream,and cake batter softserve.

theresa couldn't finish

i persevered

s'mores sundae day #2:

audrey and danae had cake batter softserve,pumpkin ice cream,peanut butter fudge ice cream,tons of whipped cream,cherries,ginger newman o's,hot fudge,and peanuts.

i had cake batter softserve,mocha softerve,and espresso,with a singular peanut butter newman o,whipped cream,peanuts,chocolate sauce,peanuts,and sprinkles.

good grief.

s'mores sundae day #3:

cake batter/mocha twist softserve,cookie dough ice cream,vanilla ice cream,whipped cream,chocolate sauce,sprinkles.

yeah.so.a lot of ice cream.a lot of peanut butter s'mores.

and there's still one left....

OH,and there was a peanut butter cookie dough milkshake:

yum.

so,aren't you inspired to go eat peanut butter,marshmallows,and ice cream now?!

Vegan MoFo Day#15-Peanut Butter Ice Cream Wars at Lula's and In My Heart...

so about exactly 11 months ago i made my first trip to lula's sweet apothecary and had,what i claimed to be,the best ice cream i've ever had in my life-yes,better than foster freeze's french vanilla softserve,better than ben and jerry's cookie dough or the banana one,or the one with the brownies and almonds,yes,just the best ice cream ever-lula's peanut butter fudge.

perfectly salty and sweet,incredibly peanut butter-y,with like hot fudge swirls in it,but it was frozen hot fudge,and zedohmygawd,it's what made me keep going back to this place so freakin' much.and of course,coming back to nyc,i get to have it all the time,and it's only improved.

though of course,not there's an issue...it may have met it's match...

seriously.the same crazy good peanut butter ice cream,but with strawberry jam.and if yr kittee,jess,or really any vegan i knew in 2007,you know how i FEEL about strawberry jam...

so,basically,i'm still undecided.fun.

i'll make up my mind soon enough,when i can try them together in a bowl sometime.

temporary solution?

eat ice cream and pray that you get there on a day when they're both in stock.sometimes life is just SO hard...

i mean,it DID happen ONCE...

but i was overwhelmed and can't remember.sigh.

this was basically like the best thing i've ever drank.and when i was in 11th grade i went through a phase where every single day after school i would make super thick smoothies with like 2-3 bananas,medjool dates,a TON of peanut butter and a lot of vanilla or chocolate soymilk,and always thought that those were the best thing to drink ever,but this was way better.zedohmygawd.





but that wasn't all of the ice cream this weekend.or peanut butter ice cream.
so that was saturday,and really,i was supposed to go have a sundae on friday,but didn't because i ended up doing this

and a few other things instead,so i went back to lula's on sunday for sundae sunday,which is when brad and his 'posse' all get sundaes.

peanut butter fudge ice cream,strawberry ice cream,cake batter softserve,whipped cream,maraschino cherry,sprinkles,and a singular ginger newman-o.simple!

i had peanut butter fudge and salted caramel pecan.
i was really excited b/c they had soem pretty excitied flavours,but the peanut butter fudge was really watery and icy and i didn't want to finish it-shoulda sampled it first,that's what happened with the oatmeal raisin cookie flavour,which i really wanted.don't see how you could eff up a peanut butter ice cream,but whatever,at least the salted caramel one was good.
