peanut butter and jam with smarties sammich.
a sweet sammich to counteract the savory-ness of the last post.
or in this case,"whizzers",the vegan version of smarties, which,if yr from the states probably think smarties are those nasty little chalky candies, but in canada, they're basically m&ms.but better.except for that i take that back, because peanut m&ms were the best.but smarties, yes.
as a child, one one my favourite variations on pb&j was adding smarties.a girl at school showed me.probably the same one who ate plain marshmallows for snack at recess.which i would still think is gross and weird,i mean who eats marshmallows?except now i'm vegan and 'can't' have normal marshmallows,so i eat marshmallows plain all the time and love it.besides,no kids in kindergarten are eating toasted coconut marshmallows.
anyways,it's a great sammich.use candy lentils pr whatever vegan smarties/m&ms you have-the best part is the crunch from the candy shell and the chocolate and jam mixing.oooh.
do you know if you can get smarties in the states?? this sounds freakin awesome!
ReplyDeleteCanadian smarties = MUCH better than American Smarties. Chocolate!! :-D
ReplyDeleteoooh, ack, myohmy, - mustn't let the kids see this, - must forget I saw this myself.... *drool*
ReplyDeleteI like those chalkie things. They were one of the only vegan candies available to me. Hater! :)
ReplyDeleteThat sandwich sounds good. I love different textures. And any time there is crunch in a sandwich, I love it. I usually throw chips in them.
that´s awesome! though I really can´t decide, if I´d favor the savory or the sweet- both look divine!
ReplyDeleteYea, I'm with Mo. My favorite crunch in a peanut butter sammich is Fritos. Now you know!
